Making It Happen: Profitability and Success is a set of resources, case studies, workshops and webinars designed to help farmers understand and strategically implement a variety of financial management tools in order to increase the financial strength of their operations.
The workshops and materials provide farmers with applicable and effective financial management tools that can be used to make business decisions. These tools can be easily used by farmers in business operations to improve productivity, reduce costs, increase net farm income and improve overall quality of life.
The content for this workshop series is based on The Carrot Project’s “Measuring Profitability and Success” project, which measured business changes and the impact of business assistance and financing on a diverse group of 30 farms.

This tool is designed to help you stay on top of financial management tasks critical to maintaining effective business practices during the busy growing season. Adapt the Calendar to your farm's needs and realities and create a personalized financial management calendar for your farm. The tool is split into two parts:
Part I: Financial Mangement Task Checklist organizes tasks into daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sections that can then be easily translated into a work schedule.
Part II: Financial Management Task Details explains the goals, data, and process involved in completing the more complicated managerial tasks listed on the checklist.
